Right-sized mobility for Hamilton rideship

Hamilton Cybercabs is a planned Tesla Cybercab fleet concept serving Greater Hamilton and the Golden Horseshoe — built around utilization, occupancy reality, and local operating support rather than DIY vehicle ownership.

Planned fleet

10 Cybercabs

Initial Hamilton launch set

Service thesis

2-seat cabin

Sized for high-frequency low-occupancy trips

Region

Hamilton + GH

Greater Hamilton / Golden Horseshoe

Ops model

Local operator

Passive-investor framing with day-to-day execution

Right-sized by real rideship

Two seats match the highest-frequency trip

Autonomous and rideshare trip patterns in North American cities repeatedly show low average occupancy — often near one to two riders. A purpose-built two-seat Cybercab is framed here as a capacity match for the most common trip, not a compromise versus larger vehicles. Hamilton-specific rideship studies would refine this thesis before launch; figures below are illustrative industry framing, not local measured data.

Illustrative occupancy

~1–2

Typical reported passengers-per-trip band across many urban robotaxi / rideshare observations (placeholder — replace with cited sources).

Trip-frequency fit

Solo / duo

Commute, airport-adjacent, waterfront, and downtown hops dominate high-frequency demand — corridors Hamilton already understands as an operator city.

Operating thesis in brief

Utilization over vanity capacity

Fewer empty seats per mile can mean cleaner unit economics when demand is mostly one- and two-rider trips.

Local execution, network demand

Tesla Robotaxi (if available) may supply rider channel and autonomy stack; Hamilton ops own cleaning, charging, insurance coordination, and local readiness — including a planned 2,500–4,000 sq.ft. depot (≥400 kW) still being sought.

Prove Hamilton, then expand

Start with a dense 10-vehicle footprint, learn corridor economics, then consider Golden Horseshoe / GTA adjacency — staged, not assumed.
